Where I Stand

Throughout the years, I have been asked many times what my position is on subjects such as politics, and issues facing our society. I think it is important to have a clear position, so that the world around us can distinguish, through us, clearly, what is right, and what is wrong.

I must start out by saying that, contrary to social media, there are definite moral absolutes. No, you won't find this kind of theology on Facebook, or hear it taught in our public schools, or delivered from our institutions of higher learning, however, there are consequences for every decision we make, and every action we undertake. I believe that this comes from not only a Biblical sense, but also from a basic sense of common morality.

I suppose that theirin lies the problem; morality. But is morality itself in question, or is it the application of morality? If we concede that there are indeed specific moral boundaries, then we as individuals are held accountable to those perimeters, and in so doing, driven to take a stand.

The book of Joel tells us, that we are to lift our voice like a trumpet. This being the case, I shall endeavor to be clear, while I still can, cling to what shreds remain of the tattered, yet time tested, and God inspired, Bill of Rights.

All sin is sin. But if there is any one sin that is a stench in the nostrils of God, it is the sin of homosexuality. I believe that the tipping point for our American culture came when the U.S. Supreme court began ramrodding the gay marriage agenda down the throats of Americans, in most cases overturning the sovereign decisions of state governments. There has been a dangerous precedent set in our country by our executive office to simply disregard the Constitution on any whim, using executive orders, and veto powers without the consult of the House and Senate. Regardless of what popular culture thinks, God law is the only law! Leviticus 18:22-24 says:

22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. 23 Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion. 24 Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:

God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah due to this sin, for their wickedness had so angered Him that He could no longer keep His silence! I get so sick of the apathetic nature of our pulpits in this country, and our tender approach to what God clearly defines as an abomination! People say, "Now, its supposed to be all about love, " or, "Well theres  really nothing in the Bible about it." What about Romans 1:26-27?:

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

The media, pushes this agenda on nearly every TV, radio, internet outlet they can. They say they represent what society wants or believes. WRONG! Contrary to this muddled psychology, we the MORAL MAJORITY, DO NOT succumb to the whims of social babble, and are not regulated by pop culture. Yes, we still have a voice, and if we were truly asked, or represented, it would be with a vote for decency, order, and social morality! GOD BLESS AMERICA, A CHRISTIAN NATION!!

It is not my attention to be volatile. I have no agenda, other than to represent my opinion, based squarely on the Word of God. I do believe the God we serve is a God of love. Parents love their children, even when they are disciplining them. Only a non-committed parent would turn away while their child slid headlong into hell! We must not be slack in sounding the cause!

Another danger that is growing greater by the moment, is the danger of radical Islam in this country. I can remember years ago, when the talk about peaceful co-existence began to be murmured. There can be no peace treaty with Islam! The very word Islam means 'submit'! The ideology behind Islam is that all must convert to it and become muslim, or die! No, the average pious muslim, attending seemingly peacefully the mosque down the street, will not tell you this openly, but there is a plan, a vision for this country to become an islamic nation. Mohammed was not the prophet of the God of the Bible, and the god of Islam, is not the same God that we serve, Jesus Christ! Do not let them confuse you. The Koran does not teach the same love, that the Gospel of Jesus Christ teaches. In Matthew 26:51-52, it tells us:

51 And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest's, and smote off his ear. 52 Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.

Here, Jesus was taken, by the High priest, captive. In defense of his friend, one of Jesus' disciples draws a sword and attacks the high priest's servant. Jesus immediately responds and reprimands His disciple for his violence, proving, that the way of Truth is love! In like manner we are to show love to all, without violence. Islam, is an ideology, and that ideology is submission by force, and by that, they mean violent force! Let me ask you a question. When was the last time you heard a news headline that said, "Breaking News: Pentecostal Militants Behead Hostage!'? No, make no mistake about it, there is a marked distinction between Christianity and Islam! The dangers of the growing tide of Islam in this country, are many, and if left unchecked, will only serve to destroy this great nation in the end. We as Christians and Conservatives need to be diligent, and monitor this developing problem that grows more dangerous by the day.

My stand, may be considered only that by some, but I feel I reflect the views of a vast majority of people, a considerable swath of America. Despite a considerable moral downtrend, which I believe is the biggest problem, I believe there is hope! I am not a conspiracy theorist, nor am I an alarmist. However, as the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 14:7-8:

7 And even things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp, except they give a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped? 8 For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?

We need to be clear, loud, and distinct. Let the church arise!
